What are Language Challenges?

Language challenges may mean having difficulty putting words together and making full sentences. It may also mean having trouble with parts of language, such as pronouns, verbs, and WH questions such as ‘who,’ ‘what,’ and ‘where.’ Children may struggle with understanding and using language.

Does My Child Have a Receptive Language Disorder?

Children may struggle to understand words and sentences. This can cause them to feel confused and upset, even when you think you might be saying things in a simple way. Children may also struggle to use language. If children have challenges using language, they may be unable to get there wants and needs met. This may mean being unable to ask for food, water, and help when needed, as well as many other basic needs.
